Wrap Up
Even though we didn’t meet in person this semester, I still miss you! Thank you so much for your engagement in the face of this situation we find ourselves in (oh hey new variant!)
Thank you to everyone who tried to keep up and thank you to everyone who just tried to make it through as best as they could. If you couldn’t join in or complete modules, I am proud of you for centering and taking care of yourself. What’s the airplane oxygen mask analogy? You can’t help anyone if you don’t help yourself first?
I hope you were able to take something away from the content of this course. I know it probably went in a different direction than you were expecting when you signed up for a writing course in the English Department.
I’m not going to drag this on any longer though, the conditions of this semester are wholly unsustainable. On my own time I’ve been fighting with faculty to try and wrest access possibilities for me and other students. I will never stop fighting, I just wish they would surrender every once in a while. Why are so many people invested in replicating stale systems of harm? So fucking boring. Yawn.
If you have a moment, I would appreciate it if you could drop a line in the comments about something you learned this semester from this course. It’ll help me continue to craft the way this course runs.
